The upcoming Sony Ericsson Robyn is a smartphone from Sony that leaked recently. The Sony Ericsson Robyn will probably be released sometime later this month (February 2010) and our review covers the phone's basic features and specs.
There is no official release date for the Sony Ericsson Robyn either, but we expect it will probably be released early during the second quarter of 2010. This cell phone has been rumored to make use of the popular Android OS. Furthermore, it is packing a 2.6 inch touchscreen display and most connectivity technologies such as WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mini is a way smaller version of the Xperia X10. Still, it keeps the style of its larger sibling and runs Android 1.6 with an optimized version of the UX interface on top of it.
The screen is a TFT touch screen and the phone measures only 2.6-inches. The phone is equipped with a accelerometer sensor. As the display is almost of a square shape, the accelerometer sensor wont make much difference as the keyboard and videos in portrait and landscape view will be almost having the same look.
The two most important features of Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, the timescape and the mediascape is expected to be present in Robyn too. This make a great advantage and no wonder even if it pushes back the XPERIA X10.
The phone can be connected in both local and wide area network. Local area connection is possible with Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP. The 2.1 version Bluetooth presence enables quick transfer of data. The presence of Bluetooth always makes infrared unnecessary so it does not comes along with the phone. Apart form Bluetooth, local area connection can be enabled with a USB cable, enabling quick transfer of data from your personal computer or laptop.
The phone is 3G enabled with HSDPA. 3G connection with a speed of up to 3.5 Mbps enables working on the go. The phone is also enabled with a WiFi connection 802.11b/g.
The phone is expected to be loaded with a minimum of 4GB and we have no idea up to what it can be expanded. Keep in touch we’ll get back as soon as we get the information.
